Working towards our mission of rescue
K911 ResQ is a nonprofit organization completely run on fundraisers and donor help that helps rescues in extreme cases of neglect, health crisis, and emergency facilitation. Most of the animals that we rescue are in desperate need of medical and/or social rehabilitation. It's heart breaking to see where many of these animals come from, but knowing we can give them a second chance keeps us moving forward.
Our Goal
It seems every time you turn around, there's a story or social media post about an abandoned animal, and how it needs help. It can be a bit overwhelming if you allow the constant day to day stuff to sweep you away. And when you see extreme cases of abuse or neglect, it can be downright depressing.
That's partly why we started K911 ResQ. It was witnessed firsthand when a dog was thrown from a moving car on the freeway, and we ran to grab it. We realized that these poor animals stuck in extremely bad situations needed help, and often times that help would have to be in medical form.
It is our our goal and mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome them, giving them a chance at a life they didn't know was possible.
How We Do It
Every year thousands of adoptable pets die in shelters because of overcrowding, or the need for medical care that a shelter isn't equipped to give or maybe doesn't want to give. Often these animals are still full of life, ready to be taken home once they are healed and shown that someone care about them. That's where we come in.
While we rescue every animal that we can, we tend to focus on extreme cases, which is pulling the animal out of a bad situation while we still can. This also means that we are faced with astronomical medical costs as try to help them heal. We've seen everything from broken legs to skull fractures, and some cases require major surgery, or surgeries.
To cover these costs we rely on donations from complete strangers. We need everyone's help!
